Old-fashioned and family run, 2nd generation owner Joseph “Jerry” Cohen says, “My dad has been here since the 1930’s.” Some of the merchandise dates to way back when, too. Wax lips, squirrel nut zippers, and giant Pez dispensers can be found among vintage candy tins and games. Of course, this LES staple also carries savory modern day treats, all of which fill every inch of the store. Just looking at it all will give you a sugar high. Even diabetics will be satisfied, because the sugar-free selection is nothing to sneeze at. Be prepared to spoil your dinner.
